Colorado State Senate Campaign Kick-Off
It is with honor and humility that I have been able to serve the people in House District 41 at the Colorado House of Representatives for the past 7 years. Due to term limits, this will be my final year serving as the assistant minority leader in the House. As a result of that I will be running for the Colorado State Senate in Senate District 28. This seat has been held by Senator Suzanne Williams for the past 7 years and due to term limits, this will be her final year in the Senate. She has been an outstanding leader for us for 15 years and a great mentor for me.

I would love to have you join us on December 6 to announce my candidacy for the Senate and ask for your support in this campaign. I will be in session January 11 - May, 2012 and involved in helping to create a budget that reflects the values of the state in health care, education, water, energy, jobs/economic development, transportation, and supporting our veterans and military families. With new district lines, we should also know the final decision by the Supreme Court and Judge for house and senate districts, as well as congressional districts by early December.

In looking for a strong candidate for House District 41, it needed to be someone familiar with the community, committed to the future of Colorado, and willing to "walk the talk." I was pleased when Terry decided to step forward and will also be making his announcement for the Colorado House of Representatives on December 6. He brings expertise and leadership in education from k-12 through higher ed and military and veterans issues.
