December 14, 2010
DENVER— House Minority Leader Sal Pace today announced the Democratic committee assignments for the coming legislative session that opens on January 12, 2011. Democrats hold 32 seats in the House while Republicans hold 33.
Assistant Minority Leader Nancy Todd (D-Aurora) was appointed to the Education Committee and as ranking member of the State, Veterans and Military Affairs Committee.
“I’m delighted to be able to continue working on education issues because I believe education is an important economic driver for the state. Additionally, I will work hard to create opportunities for all students to pursue post-secondary educations and to get the skills they need to succeed,” said Rep. Todd. “And as former chair of the State, Veterans, and Military Affairs Committee, I look forward to continuing my work on veterans and military issues as well as promoting open and fair elections for all Coloradans.”
